In this article, I reflect on a few of the biggest instructional design trends shaping the future of learning, especially AI, large language models, and virtual reality. While these tools create exciting opportunities for accessibility, efficiency, and immersive learning, they also raise important questions about ethics, trust, and responsible use. For instructional designers, staying aware of these shifts matters.
